The Frayer Model has been used on cards for years by teachers to help develop students’ vocabulary. I have found that students have a hard time keeping up with the cards, so I developed a Frayer Word Chart. My students use this chart each week in Math class to solidify the meaning of the terms they learned during the week. Students keep all their charts in a binder, which becomes their Math Glossary.
